"Lilith"

The succubus has a long and ancient beginning. According to one of the creation stories, Lilith was Adam's first wife. God had made both Adam and Lilith from the dirt and mud creating them equal. However, they didn't get along when Lilith refused to "lie under" Adam when they chose to make love. Adam left to go whining to God, while Lilith fled Eden and went to live in Nod. God sent three angels to go fetch her, but by the time they did find Lilith, she had mated with other fallen angels and demons, bearing them children. Thus, Lilith became the Mother of the Night. Of coarse the angels left Lilith where she was and God made Eve instead from Adam's rib so that she be submissive to Adam. The rest is history...
