"The Fall of Lucifer Morningstar"

This illustration was inspired by John Milton's story of Lucifer and his fall from Grace. We see Morningstar as he stands defiantly outside of Heaven's Gates, proudly enduring the change inflicted upon him. He will never know the feeling of angel wings again! But, as he said himself "Better to reign in Hell, than to serve in Heaven."
