"Concept Sketch: Merfolk"

These sketches were the first design concepts I had for the idea to draw a merfolk couple. I've included some basic elements of merfolk that I think would exist... such as gills in the throat for taking in oxygen and webbed hands to better aid in swimming and control of the water. For the male I went with defensive fish designs, to warn off potential threats. For the female I went with a more beautiful and enticing design such as she would need to attract a mate.
